I couldn't agree more! The more I learn about the human body, the more I am in awe of it. It's this very sense of wonder that I bring to my massage and bodywork practice. A profound respect for the sanctity of the body also shapes my healing philosophy, leading me to gravitate toward alternative and traditional healing modalities--such as massage, energy work (Reiki), aromatherapy, and Oriental medicine, among others--that work with the body, rather than fight it. Understanding that the body is constantly striving toward balance, or homeostasis, I strongly believe that body can heal itself of most pains and discomforts if we will simply allow it to function properly and "get out of its way." Massage, or healing touch, is a completely natural, non-invasive way of alleviating pain and supporting and stimulating the body's own healing mechanisms.
Through Your Body in Harmony, I strive to provide compassionate, respectful, and individualized care to every client, using a holistic approach to massage that combines traditional Swedish and deep tissue techniques with other complementary healing modalities, such as breath work, energetic healing (Reiki), and aromatherapy.
I am a graduate of Memorial Hermann Massage and Spa Therapy School and a Licensed Massage Therapist in the state of Texas, as well as a Level II Reiki practitioner. I also hold a Bachelor of Music in Opera Performance from the Hartt School of Music at the University of Hartford.
